The Bromley Race Squad are skiers that compete at Local, Regional, National and International dry and snow races.  The majority are children, and thus a committee exists to support these and all the squad's skiers; events are organised to generally fund dry slope races and to assist in the specialist training and provide a club the squad can be proud of.

Although the Bromley Squad have been affiliated to Bromley Ski Centre for many years, most races occur across the country, and since the sad closure of the centre training sessions have moved to Chatham Ski Centre.

What makes these Bromley skiers? A small annual £25 fee that covers insurance and equipment costs, with an understanding that the Racer records Bromley as the affiliated Race Club on race entry forms, ensures the racer can belong to our successful club.

We encourage friendly, respectful behaviour and together with hard training the Club has produced many good skiers to be proud of. This year has been another very successful year, and we always look forward to further success each new summer season.

Many children become interested in Racing after competing at local schools ski competitions. If children continue to be interested and want to take part in more races, the race squad exists to nurture such interest from talented young skiers.

About Us

Bromley Race Club was formed in 1993. The club has grown from its small beginnings to being one of the largest and successful Race Clubs in the South East. All the children are encouraged to start competing at a local and school level as soon as they join the club, with the long term goals of racing regionally and nationally. Many of our racers also progress to winter races in Europe on snow.

The Squad currently train every Saturday at Chatham Ski Centre, since the closure of Bromley Ski Centre in 2016.

There are currently about 40 members in the race squad, of all ages, who race competitively from local to international level.

Training times are as follows:
Saturday: 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Chatham
